Danny and his friend Gage left yesterday for Tampa to start their Orientation today at the University of South Florida. They’ll be joining the 41,000 other students enrolled there this coming school year.
We went to the Hare Scrambles put on by the Florida Trail Riders up near Gainsville today. Hare Scrambles are different from motocross in that they typically includes sections of woods and are not confined to just a closed track.
They have an age 50 and over class that I thought might be fun to compete in, which would at least give me an excuse to get in shape.
Was hoping Derek would take more of an interest though… hint, hint!
The Thumperbay Website went live on Sunday and orders are coming in, slowly but surely.
Hopefully as we get more products listed the traffic will increase.
Danny and Devin ventured out this evening to homecoming at the Melbourne Auditorium.
It was an extra special night for both of them, as it was Danny’s last homecoming (being a senior), and it was Devin’s time to shine after having been voted the Sophomore Class Homecoming Queen! Congrats to both of you.
Devin just got back from her 2 weeks of dance instruction at the American Academy of Ballet in New York. We are all very happy to have her back.
Lisa and I headed over to Tampa to pick up a used Tiger 800 XC today. It was raining off and on, but cleared up for the test drive. The bike looked good, so we loaded it up in the back of the pickup and headed back. When we got home we had lots of help unloading it. Devin was tasked with taking photos.
Just got back from Lake Murray South Carolina. The area has some really interesting history which you can see in the Link above. The lake itself is a reservoir and is approximately 50,000 acres in size with over 500 miles of shoreline.
The house we stayed at was up near the West end of the lake and was really nice, with a very big yard and great access and views to the water. Kids had plenty to do, and was nice and quiet for everyone else.
